Thornbury Townhouse is located a stone’s throw from High St, city trams, cafes, restaurants, everyday shopping and every service you could need. You can get a haircut, get your car serviced, go to a doctor or dentist, duck into the chemist/post office, go to the gym or shop for the grandkids. There is also a huge supermarket, fishmonger, butcher, chicken shop, florist, jeweller and huge deli just across the road. Welcome to Thornbury is an icon of the area (just in the next suburb of Northcote), functioning as a car manufacturing factory for much of the 20th century, and now, it is probably the best beer garden, bar, arcade and event space in the northern suburbs.

TRANSPORT
The frequent trams and trains are brilliant. If you’re coming from the city, jump on tram No. 86 and get off at Clarendon St. From your townhouse, the trams are only 150 metres away on High St and the trains are about a five minute walk to Croxton Station.

From Melbourne Tullamarine Airport: 30 mins by TAXI or UBER.

or SKY BUS  to FLINDERS STREET STATION in the city. Take the train on the Mernda Line from Flinders St Station and get off at Croxton Railway Station. It’s only a few minutes walk with your luggage.

I was worried about noise from the nearby trams but I have never heard one; even at night. The cream on the cake though was the Psarakos Market directly across the road, I can buy anything I need there. I can even jump on a tram to the city and be there in no time; without needing to find a car park! Then there are the sunsets from the balcony and the rooftop as well!
